Artist accounts and event applications

You can watch the archive and listen to beat previews without an account. A free account is required to register event interest, apply, manage an artist profile or follow an artist. Supabase stores account and application information. Essential account and event emails use Resend. Neither action signs you up for a general newsletter.

Your artist name, location, biography and public links can be reused in your artist profile. It begins as a private draft; you decide whether to publish it. Login email, organizer contact details, private notes, beat rankings and application decisions are not shown on your public page. Event organizers can review the information needed to manage participation.

An application does not guarantee a place, a particular beat, or ownership of an existing artist record. Claims to an existing identity are reviewed separately. John Carson and the historical credit Mindstate refer to one canonical identity.

Following artists

Following an artist saves that relationship to your account. Permission to receive that artist’s updates is a separate choice. If you opt in, that artist and the organizer can access and export the contact information associated with that permission. Artists cannot access another artist’s audience. You can withdraw your follow or permission in your account.

This pilot does not provide unlimited artist email campaigns or paid subscriptions. Email delivery has limits; your account shows your current application state even when a notification is delayed.

Account data and your choices

Your account and artist information remain available while you use the service. You can edit your profile and take it off the public site from your account. To request an account-data export or deletion, use the contribution form and identify the account. Deleting ill.world participation does not automatically delete access to another app that uses the same underlying sign-in service.

The 90-day raw-feedback policy below applies to the Google contribution form, not to ongoing artist accounts or event records. Essential event records may be retained to manage an application, resolve an issue and preserve accurate historical credits. Public source facts can remain independently of a claimed account.

Who handles this pilot

Mikey Bars runs this independent community arts pilot and reviews its contributions. You can use the contribution form to ask about your information, request a correction or ask us to delete a submission. Include enough context to locate it, and a reply email only if you want a response.

What you choose to send

The form requires a contribution type and message. You may also provide a related page, supporting public URL, display name, reply email or participation interest. Anonymous feedback is welcome; an ill.world account is not required.

Permission to contact you and permission to publicly credit your display name are separate, optional choices. We use a reply email to respond about your submission when you allow it. We do not publish your email as a credit or add you to a mailing list.

Please avoid private documents, passwords, home addresses or sensitive information about yourself or someone else.

Private review before publication

Google Forms receives submissions into a private review workflow. Mikey Bars reviews them to check corrections, sources, participation interest and feedback about the site. Submitting does not automatically publish your message, create a profile or verify ownership of a page.

Accepted factual corrections and public source links may appear in the site’s records after review. Public attribution of your submitted display name depends on your credit permission. We do not sell submission information.

Keeping and removing submissions

The pilot’s review policy is to remove raw intake after 90 days. This is a manual review and deletion workflow, not an automatic expiry system. Accepted public facts, source references and editorial decision notes may remain where they are needed to explain a published record.

You can request earlier deletion through the form. Where needed, we may ask for enough information to match the request to the submission. Provider logs and backup copies follow the provider’s own retention practices.

Browsing, media and service providers

There is currently no audience analytics tool or advertising tracker added by ill.world. Hosting and delivery providers still process ordinary technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested pages and browser details, to deliver and secure the site.

Video thumbnails load from YouTube’s image service while you browse. The YouTube player loads only when you choose to play a video. The inline Google Form loads only when you choose to open it here; the external form link opens Google Forms directly. These providers may process technical information and use cookies under their own policies. Being signed into Google may also affect your experience there.

External music and source links take you to the original services, which have their own privacy practices. See Google’s privacy policy and Vercel’s privacy notice. Providers may process information outside Canada.

If we change account features, add audience analytics or use a different contribution service, we will update this page to describe the actual changes. The date above identifies this version.
